Justin Roper
Director, CHAMP Sports Outreach
Justin serves as Director of CHAMP Sports Outreach. Having completed his Pastoral Internship here at Calvary, he will graduate from Reformed Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree in 2010. Justin earned his undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University. He is married to Jenna Roper. He also serves in the Worship Ministry at Calvary.
Megan Romeo
Ministry Assistant, CHAMP Sports Outreach
Megan serves as the assistant to CHAMP Sports Outreach. She is a Butler, PA native who now resides in Charlotte. Before joining the staff at CHAMP, she was the Communications Assistant for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Greater Pennsylvania and Southern West Virginia, in Pittsburgh, PA. Megan graduated from Duquesne University in May of 2007 with a degree in Public Relations/Advertising and a minor in Psychology. Megan is married to Aaron Romeo.
Tim Rogers
Senior Karate Instructor
Tim is the founder of Ichiban Defense Systems and senior instructor for CHAMP Karate. Tim has been teaching reality-based self defense and martial arts for 20 years. He is a 6th degree black belt in karate and has trained with renowned martial artists from all over the world. He is an experienced Martial Arts and Defensive Tactics instructor.
Tim's honors include: National Pro-marksman first class, two-time North American Top Instructor Award, ’92 IKKA Black Belt of the Year, ’97 Instructor of the Year,
and former full contact and forms competitor. His specialties include: Unarmed Close Quarter Combat for Personal Protection/Women’s Self Defense, and Armed and Unarmed Combat.
