Where are CHAMP practices and games held?
All games and practices are held at the CHAMP athletic fields or the Calvary Life Center gym at Calvary Church. These venues are located on the church campus at the corner of Rea Road and Highway 51. The church address is

When and how often are practices?
Practices for most leagues for ages 5-10 are held one evening per week and last one hour. Each team will have a consistent practice night. The online registration system will let you request a practice night. We try to accommodate requests but make no guarantees, especially for late registrations.
U12, U14 and U18 league do vary in regards to practice nights and game days. >MORE
The 4's Coed Instructional Soccer league does not hold practice during the week. The teams meet on Saturday AM ONLY. Each game will include warm-up exercises, practice drills, a Bible Huddle time and a 25-minute game.
How many games are there during a season?
Each team is scheduled to play at least eight games during the season. All games are played on Saturdays. Game schedules will be posted online.
How will I know if a game/practice is cancelled because of weather?
This website and the CHAMP Weather Hotline (704-341-5473) have up-to-date cancellation information in the case of inclement weather. Field status is update on weekdays by 3:00 PM and on Saturdays by 7:30 AM.
What is the procedure for making up a cancelled game or practice?
If a practice is cancelled due to weather, the coach of the team may reschedule the practice upon CHAMP staff approval. The CHAMP office will reschedule games ONLY if the entire league has played less than eight games in the course of a ten week season or less than seven games in the course of a nine week season.
What equipment is provided and what do we need to bring?
Equipment varies by sport. Overall, CHAMP provides uniforms and field equipment. Players provide personal equipment, including athletic shoes, shin guards, and mouth guards (as needed by sport). Equipment/uniform details and size charts are provided on the overview page for each sport.
Do I need to bring water?
Yes. Bring your own drink for practices and Saturday games.
Who are the coaches of the teams?
CHAMP coaches are parents who volunteer. All coaches are Christians who desire to make a difference for Jesus in the lives of our children and meet the criteria for being a CHAMP coach. >MORE
Can I coach my son or daughter?
Yes. If you sign up to coach, your son/daughter will automatically be on your team. However, in order to become a CHAMP Coach you will need to meet the requirements of Calvary CHAMP Sports Outreach. >Coach Qualifications
What happens if my child or I miss a game or practice?
There is no penalty for missing a game or practice. Just be sure to let your coach know if you are unable to attend.
When will I know my son/daughter's team assignment?
Team assignments/rosters are available through the online registration system one week prior to the first day of practice. The CHAMP office will send email notifications to all coaches and parents when team rosters are available online.
